DESCRIPTION OF MINISTRY / ORGANIZATION

Kim Graves Ministries, Inc. (KGM) is a service provider, providing holistic care / ministry to primarily underprivileged individuals in the Indianapolis area. The central focus of KGM is to enhance, enrich and empower lives through its Computer Learning Centers (CLCs), Job Readiness and Personal Improvement Classes.

PROGRAM COMPONENT DESCRIPTIONS

Computer training (underprivileged)

In today's world, people with solid training in basic business software applications may use their computer skills at home, in school, on the job, and virtually anywhere, every day. This computer-training course will provide its trainees with basic computer knowledge and will help eliminate the fear that some have of computers.

Trainees will learn the basic parts of a computer; discuss various web and email terminologies and techniques; learn how a general business letter should be laid out; basic training and familiarity on the widely-used applications: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel. Certificates of Completion will be provided to enrollees who successfully complete. Enrollees must be referred to the Program by another institution/agency.

Job preparation (underprivileged)

This session will offer its enrollees the knowledge of how to prepare a resume (computer familiarity a pre-requisite); how to dress for success; proper interview etiquette; body language and posture techniques. Certificates of Completion will be provided to enrollees who successfully complete. Enrollees must be referred to the Program by another institution/agency.

Personal Improvement / Character Development

KGM recognizes that many problems associated with being unemployed or underemployed is not only the lack of computer and/or job training, but a much greater issue.  Our 12-week course consist of a series of classes which are designed to help its students discover their purpose in life, and to assist them in placing their priorities in their proper order.

Annual Worship Conferences

KGM’s Annual Worship Conferences offer religious workshops to community residents of all ages and backgrounds. At each Conference (one day event), residents are given a continental breakfast, prayer, educational workshops/classes, lunch, praise & worship, and a time of coming together to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of the community. Daycare is provided for the smallest residents of our community. KGM’s ministry technique is the holistic approach, providing for the whole person. Conferences are open to everyone¾for a nominal registration fee.  Proceeds raised are used to fund KGM's program components.
